Ritesh Singhania, Owner & Principal
Ritesh has over 10 years of cross functional business experience in Capital Markets, Financial Risk Management and Consumer Credit in US, UK and India.
On his last role at a leading financial services company in Chicago, Ritesh worked with a small team to
conceptualize and launch a debt consolidation personal loan product. The product was
developed from ground-up using data from a previously failed program. At launch
and through some fine-tuning the following results were achieved:
• Response rates that were 200% more than initial expectations
• Acquisition costs that were lower by at least 50% of initial estimates
• Average loan size that was higher by 65% of initial expectations
• A loan portfolio with average FICO of about 40 points higher than expected
• ROA estimates that were nearly 200 basis points higher than initial target
Ritesh’s contributions included designing key product features, developing
innovative techniques for acquisition marketing, creating a risk-segment based
pricing and decision support framework, developing underwriting training material and training the ‘trainers’
among other initiatives.
In the UK, Ritesh set-up and managed group treasury operations at a large European online travel company based in London, with subsidiaries across nine countries in Europe and over $1 billion in revenues.
In India, as a consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Financial Risk Management practice, he has advised Indian multi-national clients on good practices in market and credit risk management. Ritesh holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business with a concentration in Analytic Finance and Econometrics.
Sayaji Hande, Consultant
Sayaji is a seasoned statistician and has over 10 years of business experience in using advanced statistical techniques to analyze and manipulate with large amounts of both consumer and markets data.
He has a strong ability to convert abstract concepts/ theories to intuitive reality. His past roles include Analytics Leader and Delivery Lead at GE Capital and IBM Global Services in India.
He has published numerous original research papers and served on the faculty of Indian Statistical Institute and Purdue University.
Sayaji is an expert user of SAS, SPSS, C / VC++; Mathematica, MatLab, OLAP Essbase / SAS, FORTRAN, Assembly/ C-cross compilers.
Sayaji holds a M.Stats degree from the Indian Statistical Institute and a Ph.D. in Statistics - Multiple Decisions from Purdue University, IN.
Sumeet Sawhney, Consultant
Sumeet has spent over six years in the Economic Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago in Chicago.
His expertise is in research and analysis using quantitative techniques.
His experience includes working on assignments with financially troubled banks, community banks, credit underwriting and he has a deep understanding of both credit and market risk management.
Sumeet is an adept programmer in C/C++, Java Core, Visual Basic, SQL, SAS, Matlab, S/S-Plus, Stata. Sumeet holds a BS in Finance from Syracuse University, NY and a MS in Computer Science from University of Chicago, IL.
Monica Khanna, Associate
Monica leads our market and product research initiatives in the global consumer credit industry.
She is a Gold Medalist from the Jesus & Mary College, New Delhi where she received a B.Com (H) degree. She additionally holds an MBA from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi.
